Over 160 violators of self-isolation regime caught by police in Moscow
The offence carries a fine of up to $52
MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Moscow’s police have caught more 160 violators of the self-isolation regime who will face fines of up to 4,000 rubles ($52), Vladimir Vasenin, a spokesman for the Moscow police department, said on Monday.
"The police have issued more than 160 protocols in respect of individuals violating the self-isolation regime after returning from foreign countries and having contacts with those infected," he said.
The offence is punishable under article 19.4 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (non-obeying by legal demands of a state supervisory body). According to the spokesman, people returning from foreign countries or having contacts with those infected cannot leave their apartments under any circumstances. The offence carries a fine of up to 4,000 rubles.
