China's Sanya to launch ten double-decker bus routes

HAIKOU, December 1. /TASS/. The Sanya city administration in Hainan's south will launch ten modern comfortable double-decker bus routes in regions most popular with tourists. According to the Sanya Daily newspaper, the authorities are thus planning to better transport situation in city areas popular with tourists. 

According to the news outlet, the launch of double-decker buses is a part of comprehensive preparations for the sixth Asian beach games due in Sanya in 2020. The buses have glass roofs and are painted in bright colors with red being dominant. Tourists are assumed to fully enjoy city views from the buses' second floor which is 12 meters high.

In order to make the buses more comfortable, their seats were designed in the same manner as the seats on board business class in airplanes. The buses have coffee machines and bars with refreshments. Each passenger seat is equipped with a computer, and travelers can watch entertainment programs and surf the web.

By 2025, the Chinese government intends to create an "international center for tourism and consumption" on Hainan. In order to do so, the "Eastern Hawaii" with their unique natural landscapes, thick rainforests and great climate will establish a developed network of hotels, which blend perfectly with white sandy beaches stretching along the coastline. The combination of an exotic subtropical nature and a modern eco-friendly infrastructure will boost tourist inflow to the island from the most distant parts of the world.
