MOSCOW, September 20. /TASS/. Thousands of people came to Moscow's Grebnoy Canal on Friday night to watch the multimedia musical "Seven Notes", which opens the Moscow international festival Circle of Light, TASS correspondent reports.

"This is the ninth time the festival comes to the city. It will take place at nine Moscow venues. Millions of Muscovites and guests of the capital will see this wonderful show. I want to wish you all to have as much light, music and vivid impressions as possible in your lives. I declare the IX Moscow Circle of Light international festival open,” said Alexander Gorbenko, deputy mayor of Moscow.

Opening program

"The audience will see the multimedia musical Seven Notes and a musical pyrotechnic show. The venue, which was familiar to our guests from past festivals, changed its usual geometry. A special arc was built over the channel, which connected the two banks and now serves as a screen for video projections, and also a tool for fire and light effects. The video mapping broadcast over the water surface of the channel is supported by bright light effects: more than a hundred fire burners, jets of two hundred light and music fountains, video and laser projections on fan-shaped water screens," Tatyana Lifantieva, president of the LBL communications group (an authorized organizer of the festival), told TASS.

In the first part of the opening, guests will see the musical "Seven Notes". "The narrator and the lead character of the light performance will be a musical apparatus installed in a cozy cafe. Every day it witnesses various events: joyful moments and sad moments, meetings and partings. However, no matter what happens, the narrator is sure that music is a universal tool, which is able to support a person both in a moment of joy and sadness, music is able to inspire and guide," the press service said.

One of the guests of the festival noted in an interview with TASS that the festival has already become a tradition for her: "This is the second festival for me, last year I was at the closing ceremony and I really enjoyed it. It’s a pretty long commute, but the show is totally worth it. Today I came with my classmates, I wanted them to see it too. It's all just a fairy tale," Ulyana Savelyeva, a student at the Moscow State University, told TASS.

Families with children, youth and older people came to the celebration. One of the guests of the festival, who wished to remain anonymous, noted that he came here by accident, but he was very happy about it nevertheless. "I live nearby and I was wondering where everyone was going. The music and light are very attractive,” he said.

The opening ceremony will end with a 15-minute musical pyrotechnic show.
