MOSCOW, April 23. / TASS /. Muscovites will have the opprtunity to see top lots of the Sotheby's Auction House by Ivan Aivazovsky, Kazimir Malevich, Marc Chagall, among others on April 24-26 at the Shchusev State Architecture Museum, TASS correspondent reported on Tuesday. The exhibition includes items from the Russian auction that will take place in London on June 4, as part of the famous Russian Art Week that will take place in London May 31 - June 7.

The top lots on display Mikhail Larionov's Still life, estimated at 1-1.5 mln pounds, Portrait of Count Alexei Ignatiev by Boris Kustodiev (250,000-350,000 pounds), and Portrait of Eya (painter's daughter) by Nikolai Feshin (60,000-80,000 pounds). Other major artwork on display is Abandoning Ship, 1882 painting by Ivan Aivazovsky (200,000-300,000 pounds), which was auctioned off last time in 1985.

Fans of Ivan Shishkin will have an opportunity to see the painter’s favorite motif - pine trees, which he returned to time after time. The "Pine," a plein-air painting is estimated at 50,000-70,000 pounds.

Top lots from "Impressionists and art of the 20th century" were also brought to Moscow. A special gem by Marc Chagall's 1967 painting 'Parisian landscape in Blue', starting price $1.2-1.8 mln. The painting depicts the artists wife Bella, and Paris, his favorite city. Another painting is by Kazimir Malevich from his second peasant cycle in the late 1920s titled Two Peasant Women, estimated at $0.8-1.2 mln.

Russian Art Week in London is a series of cultural events and auctions pertaining to Russia and Eastern Europe. All major auction houses - Sotheby’s, Christies, MacDougalls and Bonhams, participate in it. It takes place twice a year, in June and in November.
