MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. The number of child suicides in Russia grew in 2018 compared to the previous year, reaching nearly 800, Children’s Rights Commissioner for the Russian President Anna Kuznetsova said at a Tuesday meeting of an expert council under the Commissioner, whic was dedicated to children’s summer vacation.

"In 2017, a total of 692 child suicides were recorded, but in 2018 the number rose to 788," she said, citing data provided by the Russian Investigative Committee.

According to Kuznetsova, the data shows that "children are left to their own devices, no one listens to them and nobody cares about what troubles them."
