Hundreds of processions take place throughout Spain during the Easter Holy Week
Spain’s Holy Week is an annual tribute to the Passion of Jesus Christ celebrated by Catholic religious brotherhoods performing penance processions along the streets of Spanish cities and towns during the last week of Lent, the week immediately before Easter. This year, Spanish Holy Week began on April 14, Palm Sunday, and runs until April 21, Easter Sunday.
