Investigation launched after Russian rap pioneer Detsl dies

MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. A probe has been launched into the death of Kirill Tolmatsky, better known as Detsl, one of Russia’s first rappers, the Investigative Committee’s department in Udmurtia told TASS on Sunday.
"The investigators are examining the scene of the incident, forensic tests will be carried out," a spokesperson said.
Detsl, 35, who made his debut in Russia’s rap scene with the album Who Are You? in 1999, died overnight to Sunday after his concert in Izhevsk, the capital of Udmurtia Republic, in the Volga Federal District. According to preliminary data, the singer died of heart attack.
Tolmatsky was born in Moscow on July 22, 1983. He received several prestigious awards, including the Golden Gramophone Award (2001), Muz-TV and MTV Music Awards.
