MOSCOW, February 1. /TASS/. Arkhip Kuindzhi’s painting "Ai-Petri. Crimea," stolen from Moscow’s State Tretyakov Gallery and recovered by police, has returned to the exhibition, a TASS correspondent reported, adding that the paining had been covered with glass for safety.

The painting was stolen from the Tretyakov Gallery on January 27 but was recovered the next day. The initial plan was that the painting would be sent back to the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg where it belongs, but plans changed and the painting will be on display in Moscow until February 17.

The current Kuindzhi exhibition at the Tretyakov Gallery comprises about 180 works, which come from Russian, Azerbaijani and Belarusian museums, as well as from a private collection.
