Lionizing juggling feats: Renowned Russian tamers shoot for new Guinness World Record
Training took several months and it was rigorous
MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. An acrobatic feat called "The Highest Casting Ever", or "Multi-storey Juggling", which involves 12 people, including National Artists of Russia, Askold and Edgar Zapashny, may make it into the Guinness World Records, Edgard Zapashny, Head of the Moscow State Circus, told reporters on Friday.
"We’ve made my brother’s concept come true to stage multi-tiered juggling, which is performed at an enormous height, making it exciting both for the circus community and the audience, and the Guinness World Records, of course. As a result, we’ve got a record involving 12 people with the uppermost juggler dangling at an elevation of 20 meters. There hasn't been any precedent like this in the history of the circus before throughout the world," he noted.
The feat is about juggling 36 clubs with one acrobat standing in the circus arena and the topmost one hanging at the circus’ pinnacle.
Training took several months and it was rigorous, according to Askold Zapashny, while his brother added that the team is working on a new record.
The Zapashny brothers are already holders of Guinness World Records with Askold having won his title in 2006, and Edgar roughly five years later, in 2011.
