MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. The legendary American hard rock band KISS will perform in Moscow as part of their End Of The Road world farewell tour in 2019, the press service of the SAV Entertainment concert agency announced on Monday.
The musicians will roll out their renowned show to the stage of the VTB Arena stadium on June 13, 2019, the press service said.
The agency cited the band’s statement promising the tour would be "the ultimate celebration" for those who've seen the band and "a last chance" for those who haven't.
"KISS Army, we're saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we'll go out the same way we came in... Unapologetic and Unstoppable," the musicians said in their statement.
According to the concert agency, prominent scene designers were involved in preparing the farewell tour, which promises to become the biggest show in the band’s career.
The tour will kick off in the US, after that the rockers will head off to Europe.
The band’s current lineup includes two founding and permanent members - vocalist and rhythm guitarist Paul Stanley and bassist Gene Simmons. Two other members are lead guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.
KISS was founded in 1973 in New York City. The rockers are known throughout the world for their trademark black-and-white face paint and flamboyant stage outfits. The group shot to stardom with their extravagant live performances, which featured fire-breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits and pyrotechnics. Over their 45-year career, the band sold over 100 mln copies of their albums.
As far as rocking Russian audiences goes, the quartet performed in Moscow in 2008 and 2017.
