MOSCOW, May 17. /TASS/. The Crimean Bridge, the motorway section of which opened on May 15, appeared on Google Maps on Thursday.
At 14:00 Moscow time, the bridge could be seen on Google Maps. However, the service cannot plot a route through the Crimean Bridge and suggests using the ferry line instead.
On May 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin opened the motorway section of the Crimean Bridge. The construction of the railway section continues and will be completed in 2019.
The Crimean Bridge linked the Kerch Peninsula (Crimea) with the Taman Peninsula (Krasnodar Region). Its construction was prompted by Crimea’s reintegration with Russia in 2014. The bridge will provide transportation between the peninsula and mainland Russia.
