Moldovan president takes part in march in support of traditional family
In September, Chisinau will host the World Congress of Families or the first time under the auspices of the Moldovan president
CHISINAU, May 12. /TASS/. Moldova’s President Igor Dodon and his family took part in the march in support of the traditional family organized by the Russian Orthodox Church’s Metropolitanate of Moldova.
"People from all corners of the republic, including many families with children, took part in the march. I am certain that today we need to support family values in our country more than ever, while many are trying to destroy those values purposefully. I am sincerely glad that this initiative comes from the church, the unifying force of our society," Dodon wrote on Facebook.
"In September, Chisinau will host the World Congress of Families or the first time under the auspices of the Moldovan president, which will bring together about 2,000 participants from more than 50 countries. Taking part in the congress will be Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and one of the Vatican’s high-ranking representatives," the head of state noted.
