MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. A girl died, while the number of people injured in the heavy storm that raged through the Russian capital on Saturday has increased to twelve, Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on his Twitter page.
"According to verified information, the number of people injured in the hurricane has climbed to twelve," he wrote. "Doctors could not save the girl who had been in critical condition. I offer sincere condolences to her parents."
Meanwhile, sources with emergency services told TASS that 20 people were feared to be injured in the storm. The reports are being verified.
Russia’s Hydro-meteorological Center released a Status Orange warning for Moscow overnight to April 22. Gale-force wind with gusts of up to 25 meters per second and a thunderstorm are expected to batter the city.
