BUENOS AIRES, July 8 (Itar-Tass) - Bolivia had received no official request for granting political asylum from former CIA agent Edward Snowden, Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca said on Sunday.

“We have no official request,” he said on the local radio.

At the same time he noted that Bolivian President Evo Morales said on Saturday he was ready to provide political asylum to Snowden “on humanitarian considerations,” he said.

Nicaragua and Venezuela also made statements in this regard, Choquehuanca said.
