ST. PETERSBURG, June 26 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s Federation Council has made a decision to look into the affair of Edward Snowden, a former CIA employee who disclosed secrets concerning National Security Agency programs. A working group has been created at the proposal of FC committee on information society, Ruslan Gattarov, of the Chelyabinsk Region.
“Snowden is cornered,” Gattarov said. “We must investigate these facts and brief the parliament on our findings,” he said.
FC Speaker Valentina Matvienko asked the upper house’s members and issued instructions to form such a working group.
