Cargo spacecraft Progress MS-07 separates from ISS
A month later it will be dumped in the Pacific Ocean
KOROLYOV /Moscow Region/, March 28. /TASS/. The cargo spacecraft Progress MS-07 was separated from the International Space Station on Wednesday. A month later it will be dumped in the Pacific Ocean away from busy shipping routes, Mission Control near Moscow said.
The spacecraft separated from the research module Pirs at 16:50 Moscow time. Till the end of April it will stay in orbit, during which time various scientific and applied experiments will be staged. On April 26 it will be deorbited. Unburned fragments will fall in a remote area of the Pacific Ocean.
The next unmanned resupply vehicle (Progress MS-09) is scheduled to blast off towards the ISS on July 10. It will deliver a second spacesuit of the Orlan-MKS series. The Progress MS-08 spacecraft remains docked with the ISS.
