GUADALAJARA, September 27. /TASS/. Russia’s space rocket corporation Energia - the designer and producer of all of Russia’s spacecraft - plans on selling images of Earth taken from on board the International Space Station, the corporation’s general director, Vladimir Solntsev, stated at a conference of the International Astronautical Federation on Tuesday.
"Some projects are already being carried out, among them are a system of high and medium resolution optical telescopes. This project that we have been conducting with our Canadian colleagues gives us the possibility to obtain high-quality images of the Earth’s surface," Solntsev said. "We are now working on commercializing systems for these images," he added.
