Russia to hand launch facility for Proton rockets to Kazakhstan in 2020

The space corporation is already involving specialists who work on the Russian-Kazakh Baiterek project for organization of launches
MOSCOW, September 14. /TASS/. The Roscosmos state corporation will in 2020 transfer ownership of the launch facility for Proton rockets to the Russian-Kazakh joint venture Baiterek, the Izvestia daily wrote citing the work schedule approved by the sides.
Baiterek is a Kazakh company whose shareholders are Kazakhstan’s State Property and Privatization Committee and Russia’s Khrunichev Center.
"Our cooperation with colleagues from Kazakhstan is reaching a new level. We are already involving specialists working on the Baiterek project for organization of launch works," Khrunichev Center chief Andrey Kalinovsky said.
