Putin meets Vice-Premier Rogozin to discuss development of Vostochny spaceport
The president was informed about the course of investigation into the causes of an accident, which had delayed the first launch, initially set for April 27, from the Vostochny spaceport for 24 hours
SOCHI, May 12 /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has met Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin and Igor Komarov, the head of the Russian Space Corporation Roscosmos, to discuss the development of the Vostochny spaceport, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
"The president held separate meetings with Komarov and Rogozin in the evening. They discussed various issues linked to the development of the Vostochny spaceport and ways of improving the situation in the space industry in general," the Kremlin spokesman said.
Besides, Peskov said that the president had been informed about the course of investigation into the causes of an accident, which had delayed the first launch, initially set for April 27, from the Vostochny spaceport for 24 hours.
"After being reprimanded by Putin, Rogozin and Komarov informed the president of the measures taken to improve the industry’s work, including personnel measures against the head of the Yekaterinburg-based SPA Automatics named after Academician N.A. Semikhatov," Peskov said.
