The Russian Satellite Communications Company plans to launch four satellites in 2029

MOSCOW, November 3. /TASS/. The Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) plans to launch eight new communication and broadcasting satellites to a geostationary orbit in 2029-2030, RSCC chief executive Alexey Volin told TASS in an interview.

"We contracted the first four satellites at the turn of the last year, one more a couple of years before that, and we contracted three more in April. Accordingly, the main task for 2027 is to produce components for these spacecraft and prepare to start the assembly of the payload platform. We are to launch four satellites in 2029, and four more in 2030," Volin said.

New satellites will house 286 transponders in total.
