Sergey Teteryatnikov thanked NASA, SpaceX and Roscosmos for the opportunity

NEW YORK, October 2. /TASS/. The crew of US spacecraft Crew Dragon, which includes Russian cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov, entered the International Space Station (ISS), NASA said in a live broadcast on YouTube.

"I want to thank you for this opportunity. Thank you, NASA, SpaceX, Roscosmos," the Russian cosmonaut said.

The spacecraft was launched atop the Falcon 9 carrier rocket from Cape Canaveral at 3:10 p.m. GMT. Therefore, the flight to the orbital station took seven hours and 55 minutes, which makes it the fastest journey to the ISS in the history of manned spaceflights.

The docking with the ISS took place at 11:05 p.m. GMT on Thursday.

The Crew 13 mission includes Teteryatnikov, NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Joshua Kutryk. They are expected to spend around six months aboard the ISS.
