There have been no reports of public injuries or property damage
NEW YORK, May 23. /TASS/. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has reported an anomaly during the 12th flight mission of SpaceX’s Starship launched on Friday.
The anomaly occurred as the Super Heavy booster was returning over the Gulf of Mexico, the FAA said. There have been no reports of public injuries or property damage.
Debris from the Starship booster fell within a hazardous zone, the agency said. The FAA is currently assessing the operation.
Earlier, SpaceX launched a rocket carrying the Starship prototype spacecraft on its 12th test flight on Friday. The rocket lifted off from the Starbase launch site in Texas at 6:30 p.m. local time (1:30 a.m. Moscow time, or 10:30 p.m. GMT). Starship S39 was the first of SpaceX’s third-generation V3 rockets.
