MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. Russia ranks third globally in the speed of building its national satellite constellation, Roscosmos CEO Yury Borisov said in an interview with Rossiya-24.
He noted that, excluding the upcoming launch of the Resurs-P satellite later this year, Roscosmos has launched 99 satellites in 2024. The current satellite network consists of 288 spacecraft.
"[The constellation] is constantly evolving, because some spacecraft are decommissioned and replaced. This is a significant growth, we are in third place in the world in terms of the speed of creating a national satellite constellation," the CEO said.
