MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Meetings between Russian state aerospace corporation Roscosmos and representatives of the space agencies of BRICS member countries show that partner nations within the bloc are keenly interested in coordinating space-related activities, Roscosmos CEO Yury Borisov said in an interview with the Pro Cosmos portal.

"Recent meetings with colleagues from the space agencies of the BRICS countries, which we held in South Africa, show that all BRICS countries are very interested in coordinating activities and combining all efforts in the field of space services," Borisov said.

According to him, China is Russia’s primary partner in long-term space exploration projects. In particular, it is worth expecting closer cooperation with China on the lunar program. "I think that the competencies that Russia really has, primarily in the field of space-related nuclear power, will be in demand in this project. And our Chinese colleagues are interested in this cooperation," the Roscosmos CEO concluded.
