Director General of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov noted that the demand for space services is currently growing faster than global GDP
MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Russia’s state-run space corporation Roscosmos will closely cooperate with Russian private space companies, Roscosmos CEO Yury Borisov told TASS.
"Our major program is Sphere. But will also work in close contact with our private companies, which also have plans for developing their groupings," he said.
According to Borisov, demand for space services is currently growing faster that the global GDP. "This is why this domain - space exploration - is in focus. <…> And, naturally, Russia cannot stand aside from this global trend," he noted.
He stressed that economic development nowadays is impossible without satellite constellations that would proved communications, navigation and remote sensing services and Russia will work on the development and expansion of the range of such services, including in cooperation with domestic private space-related businesses.
