TASS gets first prize of ‘Loyalty to Science’ in ‘Protecting Historical Truth’ category
TASS also won the third prize in the nomination for "Popularization of domestic studies"
MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Russia’s TASS news agency won the first prize in the ‘Protecting the Historical Truth’ nomination of the Ninth All-Russian National "Loyalty to Science" Award with its Road of Life project.
"The first prize goes to Road of Life, a special project by Russian news agency TASS," Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikolay Makarov announced from the stage of the Zaryadye Concert Hall on Thursday night.
TASS also won the third prize in the nomination for "Popularization of domestic studies." It is the event’s special prize, awarded by the state-run tech corporation Rostec.
The All-Russian National "Loyalty to Science" Award has been held annually since 2015, as part of the Decade of Science and Technology, announced by the Russian president. This year, the award’s committee received the record number of applications - 1,213. They came from 78 Russian regions.
The event is organized by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. Its partners are the Russian Academy of Science, the Kurchatov Institute and the Lomonosov Moscow State University. Prizes were awarded in 14 nominations, including four introduced this year.
