Damaged Progress MS-21 spacecraft to be undocked on February 18 — Roscosmos
The undocking will be livestreamed on Roscosmos social media accounts starting at 05:20 Moscow time on February 18
MOSCOW, February 17. /TASS/. The Progress MS-21 spacecraft, which depressurized on February 11, will be undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) at 05:26 Moscow time on February 18, Roscosmos told reporters Friday.
"The Progress MS-21 will be undocked at 05:26 Moscow time on February 18. The Energia Rocket and Space Corporation made this decision after a detailed analysis of the damage to the temperature control system radiator, located on the exterior plating of the spacecraft’s instrument compartment," the state corporation said.
At 07:03, the spacecraft’s engines will be turned on to take the spacecraft away from the orbit.
The undocking will be livestreamed on Roscosmos social media accounts starting at 05:20 Moscow time on February 18.
On February 11, the Progress MS-21, already prepared for undocking, began to leak coolant. The spacecraft’s contour got depressurized. The spacecraft is currently isolated from the space station; the cause of the depressurization is being investigated.
