KOROLYOV /Moscow Region/, February 9. /TASS/. The Progress MS-22 resupply ship launched from the Baikonur spaceport to the International Space Station (ISS) on Thursday morning separated from the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket’s upper stage, TASS reported from the Flight Control Center.

The space freighter will approach the orbital outpost under a two-day scheme and is set to dock to the Zvezda module of the ISS Russian segment at 11:47 a.m. Moscow time on February 11.

The Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-22 resupply ship blasted off from site No. 31 (Vostok) at the Baikonur spaceport in Kazakhstan at 9:15 a.m. Moscow time on February 9.

The Progress MS-22 resupply ship will deliver over 2,500 kg of cargo to the orbital outpost, including 720 kg of refueling propellant, 420 kg of potable water, 40 kg of nitrogen, and also about 1,354 kg of dry cargo comprising various equipment and materials in the cargo compartment, in particular, those needed for carrying out experiments.

The space freighter will also deliver food rations for Russian cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev, Dmitry Petelin who is also a TASS special reporter in space, and Anna Kikina, as the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences earlier told TASS.

As TASS special reporter, Roscosmos cosmonaut Petelin earlier reported, the Russian crewmembers also expect to get gifts from their relatives.
