China’s launch of Chang’e-6 lunar mission is tentatively scheduled for 2025 — report

The mission will land on the Moon’s far side to take a sample of regolith

HAIKOU, November 26. /TASS/. The China National Space Administration tentatively plans to launch the Chang’e-6 lunar mission from the Wenchang space base in the Hainan Island in 2025, the Hainan Ribao newspaper reported.

The newspaper gained the information at a Chinese-UN space conference that was held in Hainan’s capital of Haikou this week. The mission will land on the Moon’s far side to take a sample of regolith.
