Foreign scientists pursue ties with Russia’s Skolkovo research center, says its president
Skoltech President Alexander Kuleshov gave an example of Germany’s Ulm University: the university did cancel the cooperation agreement, but its professors said they would continue work with Skoltech on their own
MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. Foreign universities have suspended cooperation with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, but contacts have been maintained at the level of individual researchers, Skoltech President Alexander Kuleshov said Friday.
"A blow has been dealt all right, but this is not an end to international cooperation," Kuleshov said. "It is true though, that I have received 22 notifications about canceled contracts. Institutional contacts have been severed, but at the level of individual researchers it is business as usual", Kuleshov said, speaking at a meeting of Skoltech’s Board of Trustees, presided by Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of the Security Council.
Kuleshov gave an example of Germany’s Ulm University with which Skoltech had jointly developed a variety of projects: the university did cancel the cooperation agreement, but its professors said they would continue work with Skoltech on their own, according to Kuleshov.
