Construction of joint Russian-Chinese space station modules possible, Roscosmos CEO says
Dmitry Rogozin opined that Russia and China "can be together" in human spaceflights as well
MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Russia and China may discuss construction of joint modules for the Tiangong space station, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said in an interview for China’s CGTN Monday.
"As for the Chinese space station, we can discuss construction of some joint modules as well. In order to be friends in space, friendship must first be established back on Earth, and Russia and China are friends on Earth," Rogozin said.
He opined that Russia and China "can be together" in human spaceflights as well.
Previously, Rogozin stated that he sent letters to NASA and European and Canadian Space Agencies on withdrawal of sanctions from TsNIIMash and the Progress rocket and space center. On Saturday, he announced that the Roscosmos’ decision on cooperation on the International Space Station will not be an independent decision, adding that the corporation will present its proposals to the government and the president, adding that the proposals on finalization of the cooperation on the ISS will be presented shortly.
