BAIKONUR /Kazakhstan/, October 5. /TASS/. The Angara-A5 heavy carrier rocket will be launched in December as a trial, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin told journalists Tuesday.
"We plan the next trial of the Angara-A5 heavy rocket in December," Rogozin said.
Angara is a family of Russian carrier rockets ranging from light to heavy class. The rockets consist of universal modules, produced at the Polyot industrial association (Roscosmos’ Khrunichev Center). The new family uses ecologically safe fuel components. Angara heavy rockets have previously been launched on December 23, 2014, and December 14, 2020, from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome.
