Russia has obligations to participate in the ISS project until 2025
MOSCOW, January 13. /TASS/. Russian Academy of Sciences on space considers it necessary to review the timeframe of use of the International Space Station (ISS).
"Currently, it is necessary to review the timeframe of the ISS flight and begin develop the new concept of development of Russian manned space flights, including creation of a national manned infrastructure on the near-Earth orbit," the ruling says.
According to the document, Russia has obligations to participate in the ISS project until 2025.
"Further extension of the Russian segment will unavoidably cause significant spike in resources, spent on maintenance of working order and security of the ISS modules," the scientists believe.
