Russian scientists to create a competency map in the field of hydrogen technologies
TOMSK, December 11. /TASS/. Russian scientists and industrialists will create a technological competence map in the field of hydrogen technologies, which will help the development of hydrogen energy technologies in the country, reported the press service of the Tomsk Polytechnic University, which, along with other universities and academic institutes, came up with said initiative.
"Representatives of university science and academic institutions, as well as representatives of domestic companies interested in the development of hydrogen technologies, will create a map of Russia's technological competencies in the field of hydrogen technologies. This will help developers not to duplicate projects, but to immediately create products ready for implementation in the Russian industry," the message reads.
It is noted that the creation of the map is planned following the results of the scientific-practical conference "Hydrogen. Technologies. Future" scheduled for December, which is planned to be held at Tomsk Polytechnic University's platform. The meeting will touch upon technologies for the production, transportation, storage and use of hydrogen, as well as safety issues of hydrogen technologies.
"The organizer of the conference in a face-to-face and onliene format is the Technological Hydrogen Valley consortium. Its establishment, along with the Tomsk Polytechnic University, was initiated by a number of universities and academic institutes - Samara State Technical University, Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics of RAS, Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis of RAS and others", the document reads.
Not only scientists but also industrialists will take part in the discussion of the prospects for the development of hydrogen energy in Russia. In particular, such companies as Rosatom, Gazprom, SIBUR, Novatek and Russian Railways will participate in the initiative, the press service of the university noted.
