MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the United States’ National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will discuss joint research projects in Washington next week, Director of the RAS Space Research Institute Lev Zeleny said at a RAS Presidium meeting on Wednesday.

"The Academy and NASA will hold talks in Washington next week, discussing the Russian-American Venus research project," he said.

RAS President Alexander Sergeyev said earlier that the Russian Academy of Sciences and NASA planned to sign a new cooperation agreement in mid-March. The agreement was last renewed in 2013. The document was expected to be signed during Sergeyev’s visit to Washington in December 2018 but the trip did not take place.
