Moscow urged people to be vigilant and to observe carefully what is going on at Ukrainian nuclear power plants and near their borders, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister says

MOSCOW, February 23. /TASS/. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to stockpile Western-supplied ammunition at Ukrainian nuclear power plants, allowing them to accumulate without risk of destruction, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said in an interview with TASS.

"The Russian side has released undeniable evidence that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are storing weapons and ammunition provided by Western countries at their nuclear power plants. This allows Kiev to amass military aid under the cover of nuclear power plants without the risk of destruction," he stated.

"We immediately brought this information to the attention of the international community, particularly the IAEA leadership," Galuzin said. "We urged people to be vigilant and to observe carefully what is going on at Ukrainian nuclear power plants and near their borders," he added.

According to the diplomat, "at the moment, the situation at these facilities is controlled by agency officials, who are stationed there on a permanent basis on the instructions of the IAEA Director General [Rafael Grossi]." "We really hope that they fulfill their duties with great responsibility in terms of monitoring the situation and informing about the objective reality of what is happening," Galuzin concluded.
