Russia’s rocket and space corporation Energia is to develop a new manned spaceship by 2018-2020
MOSCOW, January 10 (Itar-Tass) — Head of Russia’s Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) Vladimir Popovkin told about his agency’s plans for this year in an exclusive interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
Russia’s rocket and space corporation Energia is to develop a new manned spaceship by 2018-2020. “We plan to make a universal spacecraft. It will be a re-entry six-seat module that will have an engine-driven compartment for equipment and tools and various living compartments, depending on the mission’s tasks,” he said.
