Russia-China naval drills not directed against other states — military spokesman
A total of 22 warships of Russia and China will take part in the second phase of the large-scale naval exercise Joint Sea 2015 off the Far Eastern city of Vladivostok
VLADIVOSTOK, August 20. /TASS/. The naval drills of Russia and China off the coast of Vladivostok, the largest ever in the modern history of their fleet cooperation, are not directed against other countries, Eastern Military District spokesman Capt. 1st Rank Roman Martov said on Thursday.
"The major goals of the exercises will be to train and improve the organization of joint actions in the sea, on land and in the air," Martov said.
During the active phase of drills on August 24-27, the sailors of the two countries will practice joint anti-sabotage, anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and antiship defence. The sailors will also conduct live-fire on sea surface, submerged and air targets.
"The exercises will culminate in joint amphibious and airborne landing at the firing range at Cape Klerk in the southern Primorye Territory [in Russia’s Far East]. The joint landing of the Russian and Chinese marine corps on the Russian territory will be conducted for the first time," Martov stressed.

Seven warships of the Chinese Navy led by the Shenyang destroyer earlier on Thursday arrived in Vladivostok to participate in the second phase of the Joint Sea 2015 exercises.
