MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. Russian and Saudi Foreign Ministers, Sergey Lavrov and Adel al-Jubeir are expected to hold talks in Moscow where they will continue discussion of Russia’s initiative for setting up a broad front of all the forces interested in counteraction to the Islamic State radical grouping.

In addition, they will look at the settling of political crises in the Middle East, coordination of actions on global energy markets and cooperation in civilian atomic energy.

Special attention will be given to the ways of rebuffing the Islamic State and other extremist groupings in the context of the situation in the Middle East.

Political settlement in Syria is also on the list of the main items for discussion.

Lavrov and al-Jubeir are expected to take up the problems that were in the focus at the trilateral talks with the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry.

"The ministers will discuss the opportunities for Russian-Saudi cooperation and struggle with terrorism, which meets the interests of both countries," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary on the talks.

The situation in the Middle East will also be viewed in the context of developments in Yemen, Libya and Iraq — the countries where destabilization occurred to no small a degree because of poorly conceived interference from the outside powered by momentary considerations.

By tradition, the agenda of the talks also embraces the Palestinian-Israeli peace settlement.

The situation in the Persian Gulf will be viewed in the light of a recent agreement with Iran on its nuclear program. "Russia hopes to work on building up stability in the region in the framework of our concept for security and in the format of other concept that are concentrated in a particular region.
