Russian prosecutors deem National Endowment for Democracy undesirable in Russia

A relevant document has been sent to the Russian Justice Ministry for inclusion in the register of undesirable foreign organizations

MOSCOW, July 28 /TASS/. The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has qualified the activities of the US National Endowment for Democracy as undesirable in the territory of Russia.

"Russian Deputy Chief Prosecutor Vladimir Malinovsky signed a decree recognizing the activities of the National Endowment for Democracy, a foreign non-commercial organization, as undesirable in the territory of Russia in compliance with a law on measures of impacting people linked to the violation of basic human rights and freedoms and the rights and freedoms of the citizens of Russia," a source at the Prosecutor General’s Office told TASS on Monday.

The document has been sent to the Russian Justice Ministry for inclusion in the register of undesirable foreign organizations.
