A high-ranking delegation has arrived in Russia to discuss the issue

KUBINKA (Moscow Region), June 16. /TASS/. Saudi Arabia is interested in purchasing Russia’s Iskander tactical ballistic missile systems, a source in the country’s delegation at the Army-2015 International Military and Technical Forum outside Moscow said on Tuesday.

"We are interested in buying Iskanders. A high-ranking delegation has arrived here to discuss this," the source told TASS.

Russia’s Machine-Building Design Bureau, the main manufacturer of Iskanders earlier said that the systems may not be exported until 2016.

However, they have been included in the list of products allowed to be sold abroad. Last year, media reports said Kazakhstan had announced it was interested in the export version of the Iskander-M systems.

Iskander-M ballistic missile systems can effectively engage two targets within a minute at a range of up to 280 kilometers.
