Kremlin notes contacts between Russian, US foreign ministries after Putin-Kerry meeting

MOSCOW, June 8. /TASS/. Russia and US maintain contacts between the foreign ministries, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov told journalists on Monday.

"After the meeting [between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Secretary of State John Kerry] in Sochi [in May], as far as I know, certain contacts took place between the foreign ministries," Ushakov said, noting that he means US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland’s visit to Russia to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

"Talks on bilateral problems also took place, but again, between foreign ministries’ officials. As far as I know, there were no other contacts," he added.
