Natalya Poklonskaya said she is certain Crimea will not see an influx of radically minded Ukrainian citizens

SIMFEROPOL, May 6. /TASS/. Crimea’s security services are well-prepared for the approaching holiday season and will upset penetration attempts by Ukrainian radicals, should any take place, the republic’s prosecutor, Natalya Poklonskaya, has told the media.

"The security services are on alert and all potential radicals are well known. We are prepared to see them here. Vacant cells at detention centers and penitentiaries are abundant. We shall certainly find room for everyone, though I cannot guarantee a view to the sea," Poklonskaya said.

She is certain, though, that Crimea will not see an influx of radically minded Ukrainian citizens.

"They do have a sense of self-preservation. They make the right conclusions and will not dare show up here," Poklonskaya said.

Security services are also conducting active work to identify nationalists in the Internet.

"Our specialists have been surveying the Internet sites suspected of fascist and Nazi propaganda. The prosecutor’s office blocks the operation of such sites if the specialists confirm the presence of radical sentiment. Ten sites have been blocked so far. Also, we have opened criminal cases.

Poklonskaya said that in 2014 one court sentence was passed over the placement of nationalist messages on websites in the Internet.

"Security services and prosecutors’ offices are monitoring such websites online," Poklonskaya said.
