HANGZHOU (China), April 28. /TASS/. Strengthening friendly relations with China is Russia’s foreign policy priority, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Tuesday at a meeting of the bilateral Commission for the preparation of regular meetings of the government heads. He said that "in the second half of the year, the 20th regular meeting of the government heads will be held in China, and it will be preceded by meetings of all our four Commissions, led by deputy heads of our governments."

"The past year was marked by significant successes in the promotion of bilateral cooperation, a new stage was opened. Our today’s agenda includes issues related to the nuclear power industry, civil aviation, space exploration, intensification of cooperation in the field of agriculture, cooperation in the monetary and financial sphere," Rogozin said.

The head of the Chinese delegation, Vice Premier of the State Council Wang Yang said that next month, President Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow is planned and he is expected to attend celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in World War II (the Great Patriotic War of the USSR against Nazi Germany). This is event number one in the current Russian-Chinese relations. The main objectives of today’s meeting are the promotion of further progress in Russian-Chinese economic cooperation and preparation for the upcoming summit.

During the meeting, the Commission will discuss projects for the joint development of a wide-body long-haul aircraft, a heavy helicopter, the construction of nuclear power plants in China by Russian companies, prospects for cooperation in the space exploration sphere, cooperation between the GLONASS and Beidou navigation satellite systems’ projects.
