Biggest income in Kremlin administration 15 times bigger than Putin's earnings in 2014
The earnings of the head of the Kremlin administration have shown a rise of almost $1 million since 2013
MOSCOW, April 15. The Kremlin administration has published data on incomes and property of its officials, according to information posted on the Russian president’s website on Wednesday.
The data show that the largest income in the Kremlin administration in 2014 was earned by Oleg Govorun, head of the presidential department for social and economic cooperation with CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. He declared an income of $2.2 million or about 15 times the income of Russian President Vladimir Putin who earned $147,000.
Last year, the biggest earner was Oleg Belaventsev, the presidential envoy in the Crimean Federal District, with an income of almost $1.5 million.
This year, the list of the Kremlin administration’s richest people also includes Vyacheslav Volodin, first deputy head of the presidential administration, with a declared income of $1.2 million. A year earlier, he declared an income of just $269,200.
The list of the top three earners in the Kremlin administration also includes Nikolay Patrushev, secretary of the Security Council of Russia, with an income of $765,300.
Kremlin administration head Sergey Ivanov earned $311,500 in 2014 or about 7 times less than Govorun.
The income of Kremlin spokesman and deputy head of the presidential administration Dmitry Peskov remained unchanged at $176,600.
An underage son of Vladimir Simonenko, head of the expert department in the presidential administration, became one of Kremlin officials’ richest children in 2014. He earned $528,800 while his father declared an income of just $194,200. Meanwhile, the official’s wife declared an income of $551,900.
In 2013, the financial results of Simonenko’s son were equal to zero.
The smallest income in the Kremlin administration was declared by Ilya Shinkaryov, an assistant to the secretary of Russia’s Security Council. He earned just $76,900 or 28.5 times less than the Kremlin’s richest official.
