A total of 13 fishermen are still considered missing
MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. The Russian Dalny Vostok trawler sank at a depth of 250 meters in the Sea of Okhotsk off the Far-eastern Kamchatka Peninsula, a spokesman for the Emergencies Ministry said on Friday.
"The Dalny Vostok vessel is at a depth of 250 meters," he said.
At the moment, a total of 13 fishermen are considered missing. So far, 63 people have been rescued and another 56 have been confirmed dead.
The search for shipwreck victims has been suspended till Saturday.
A source in the Far Eastern sea port of Vladivostok told TASS earlier that the trawler had capsized and sank on April 2 because it was seriously overcrowded, with 70 people not listed onboard.
