Putin orders security service to block entry to Russia for Islamic State militants
It is important to take additional measures to liquidate international connections and the resource base of the terrorists, according to the president
MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday has instructed the Federal Security Service (FSB) to suppress the attempts of militants, trained by the Islamic State, to get into Russia and especially in Crimea.
"People coming from Russia and other CIS countries undergo trials in a number of ‘hot spots,’ including with the so-called Islamic State in the territory of Syria and other countries, and then may be used against us, Russia and our neighbours," the president said at a meeting of the FSB collegium.
According to him, "It is important to take additional measures to liquidate international connections and the resource base of the terrorists, block for them the channels of entry to and exit from Russia, prevent their movement in regions, including penetration into new constituent entities of the Federation - Crimea and Sevastopol," Putin said.
