MOSCOW, 18 March./TASS/. Russia is learning to live, and efficiently, under the existing sanctions, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

He declined to comment on a statement by US President Barack Obama, who said sanctions against Russia should stay in place.

"This is an issue that must be possibly addressed to the White House and Washington, not to Russia," he added. "We don’t consider these sanctions an issue on our agenda, it is rather on the agenda of those countries [that imposed them]," Peskov said.

The spokesman once again reiterated Russia’s position, saying "Generally, we don’t consider this rhetoric over sanctions as reasonable, politically wise and far-sighted," he said.

"But in all likelihood this is a problem of our colleagues," he said.
