MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. Russia's Federal Migration Service (FMS) refused to comment on whether Ukraine's former President Viktor Yanukovych had been granted Russian citizenship or temporary asylum in the country.
"More than 150,000 people applied for citizenship last year, including 70,000 Ukrainian citizens," an FMS spokesman told journalists on Monday, adding that transferring personal information about an individual without the consent of the individual was in violation of Russia’s federal law on personal data.
