US whistleblower Snowden works in Russian company, not married yet — lawyer
According to the lawyer, the former CIA employee is quite satisfied with his current life and is already beginning to speak Russian
MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/ NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden who has obtained a residence permit in Russia has adapted to the country, but is not going to get married yet, Snowden’s lawyer Anatoly Kucherena told reporters on Tuesday.
"He is still working in a Russian company, his pay corresponds to his job qualifications, a reasonable amount for life," said Kucherena. According to him, he is still Snowden’s lawyer because Snowden from time to time needs legal advice, as previously he had not been familiar with Russian legislation. Kucherena admitted that his services are free for Snowden.
According to the lawyer, the former NSA employee is quite satisfied with his current life. "He is already beginning to speak Russian, knows some words," Kucherena said.
"He’s all right, I have no information that he is going to leave [Russia] somewhere," said Kucherena.
"Private personal life details are not to be disclosed, but as far as I know, Snowden is not going to marry," Kucherena said.
Edward Snowden is a former National Security Agency subcontractor who made headlines in 2013 when he leaked top secret information about NSA surveillance activities.
